First time on a track, it'll be raining. Will bring my GoPro and hopefully I won't make a total fool/tool/idiot/asshat/douche of myself.
Also, my car is a Fail Wheel Drive car, on the plus side, its not just any FWD, its a Focus ST.

Good luck! Who cares if you do? You should do it for fun and rain should make it more fun. :)
What are you going to drive?

Thanks! Yeah, I've taken the car (Focus ST) autocrossing once, but that was a small-ish course (40~ secs full throttle), so this will definitely be interesting and new.
I'll probably leave traction control on until I'm confident with the track itself.

Sounds like a good idea. Oh nice, I've always thought those are really cool. Hot hatch comeback ftw!

What track?
Just don't go off on your first session out. Those are the people I want to slap in the face. Take it easy, get a couple sessions in, then start to push. It's a track day, not a race, so go have fun and don't feel like you need to pass anybody. You'll probably be passed by some kid in a Miata, and pass some dude in a GT500. If it's a track with lots of runoff, all you need to worry about is crashing into (or being crashed into by) other cars.

Cayuga near Toronto, Canada. It was a lot of fun, didn't spin out, but saw a BMW spin out a few times.
